Architecture & Interior Design degree at College Of The Canyons

We offer two distinct and different programs within one department: Architectural Drafting and Interior Design. Each program offers a variety of courses, certificates and a degree to prepare students for jobs in industry or transfer to a university. Instructors work in industry in either architecture or interior design, so they are aware of current industry trends, and therefore provide students with relevant course content. ARCHT 198E UNITED STATES GREEN BUILDING LEED RATING

Units: 1.00 – CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit

Provides an in-depth review of the LEED rating system developed by the United States Green Building Council to promote a decrease in the negative impacts the built environment has upon the natural environment, our economy, health and productivity. Green Building Ordinances from local communities will be examined for their impact on the building approval and construction process.

Diploma in Experience and Product Design DXPD at Singapore Polytechnic

In today’s economy, consumer goods and services are increasingly differentiated on the basis of the quality of experience they render. Designers must look beyond the form and function to consider the total experience of consumers as social beings interacting with spaces, objects and time.

The curriculum is structured around this experience design thinking to imagine and craft experiences. The consumption of Brand and Product Experiences is the new business today.
A Head Start

The Diploma in Experience and Product Design aims to produce specialised Industrial and Product Designers equipped with Experience Design & User Research Methods.

The course focuses on training our students to not only design the Product but the Experience of the Product and to develop its Branding Strategy.

Our students will be trained in Product Experience Design, Technical Detailing, Production Process and Branding.

Another unique feature of the programme is the creative use of IT-enabled new and emerging technologies (such as Internet, Mobile Communication, Sensor, Display etc.) to support existing or create entirely new products and services.

Design Technology degree at Letourneau University

All manufactured items and construction projects must be designed and drawn before production. The need for trained design/drafting personnel will increase as the economy grows. Almost every type of industry employs designers. Technical Designers convert ideas into plans and details for making machinery, equipment, structures, and products. Much of today’s drafting is done with computer-aided drafting (CAD), 2-D and 3-D. However, conventional Board Drafting skills are still needed.
A Degree at LeTourneau
You’ll learn technical design skills at a university known for its commitment to technology. The Associate of Science degree program in Design Technology at LeTourneau University involves a curriculum of 72 semester hours. At the conclusion of this two-year program, students will be prepared to work for engineering and architectural firms, government, and industry.
