The course has characteristics that differentiate from the other: encourages students to participate in national and international competitions and encourages participation in research and development projects with companies with which the University maintains agreements for transfer of technology.

The role of the designer is to develop new products, respecting the principles of functionality, creating and changing product demands in an object of desire and business success.


Differential Course

• Encouraging participation in competitions, while

and disseminating the work of students.

• Travel and participation in events in the area with visitors in annual exhibitions of the Museum of Design.

• Agreements with companies in the region that can result in projects of technology transfer and registration of new patents, making innovation the focus of the methodology used in the course.

• A Brainstorm unique laboratory for students to develop a methodology for innovation.


Field Training

The design gives the student an overview of the current globalized world and its prospects for the market performance, teaching to address issues relating to the needs of consumers applying and respecting the principles of ergonomic comfort and welfare, their roots and cultural habits. Students can act formed in the labor market in several ways:

Department of Product Development in companies of large and medium sizes.

As autonomous, providing services to companies that do not have a specific department.

As entrepreneur, providing services through its own office, developing projects and launching them in the labor market.

Act on state or parastatal organizations to encourage regional development, state or national level.

As teacher-researcher, embracing the teaching profession, teaching or conducting research, producing texts and books.
