Career opportunities
Many students progress to first degree and eventually to postgraduate degree courses. A significant percentage find careers within the jewellery and silversmithing industries, both within the UK and overseas. Others start up their own businesses. The creative industries sector is expanding at a faster rate than the rest of the industrial and commercial economy and this factor, combined with our close links to the silversmithing and jewellery industry and related professional bodies, ensures excellent career opportunities for our graduates.

Teaching, learning and assessment
A range of assessment methods are used that will allow you to demonstrate your achievements, skills and knowledge.

Student view
“I chose the HND because it is vocational and primarily workshop-based. The academic side is good — the history of art, business of setting up a workshop, and so on — and helps put what you’re creating into context. Being at the cutting edge of fashion and design has been of enormous benefit. I’d certainly recommend this course to others.”
